Multi-Purpose Congrats Card


Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by my little slice on the internet on this dreary Monday morning (at least here in MI), hopefully these cheery roses can brighten your day! 

I've created this card for the current Simon Says Stamp wedding/anniversary challenge, but you could use this for most any Congratsable occasion (its a word, I swear). 

The Process

  • Cut a piece of 4.25 x 11 inch piece of black card stock. Score and Fold in the center to create an a2 sized top folding card base.
  • Cut the Avery Elle horizontal stripe background from some bright white paper and adhere down to the front of your card base.
  • Cut the matching circle from the same set out of matching black cardstock, adhere down to the center of your die cut background
  • Stamp and Cut Out several floral images, I've used Sunny Studio's Rosy set. 
  • Carefully arrange your florals where you want them, then use press N seal plastic wrap to pick them up in their arrangement until its time to adhere down
  • Stamp and heat emboss your sentiment being mindful of where the floral will go
  • While still on the press N seal, add adhesive to the back of your floral die cuts. Carefully flip the whole thing over, and adhere down. Gently remove press N seal
  • Embellish with glitter, sequins, and shimmer as desired. I added some glue and glitter around around the edge of one floral, and shimmer pen to the others, with a random scattering of gold sequins topped with clear dimensional adhesive. 

Notes

My pink/orange rose was an attempt to recreate a beautiful rose bush we used to have. I'm in love with how it turned out. This was a multi-brand ink layer using (in the order stamped):
Altenew Frosty Pink, Altenew Coral Berry, SSS Orange Slush, Hero Arts Tangerine

My teal roses which are a complete figment of my imagination were made with;
Hero Arts Soft Pool, SSS Spring Rain, Hero Arts Tide Pool, SSS Teal
