Hi Everyone and Welcome! Today starts the June challenge over at A Blog Named Hero. This months theme is sympathy cards. Never fun to send, but important none the less. Most of the sympathy cards I make are black and white and this is no exception. I did want a pop of color to bring a little happy to an unhappy situation, so I added this sweet little butterfly.
My background was made by layering a white background die cut on top of a piece of glittered cardstock. I created my own glitter card stock by running the entire panel through my Xyron sticker maker, and then covering the now sticky side with microfine glitter.
The sentiment, from the Hero Arts Prayers stamp set was cut 4x from black cardstock, glued together and adhered onto a strip of vellum to separate it from the background. And the smaller sentiment was simply stamped onto white cardstock and trimmed into a strip, which I popped up with dimensional adhesive.
Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to head over to A Blog Named Hero to see the rest of the DT projects as well as all of the challenge details. If you're new here, I'd love you to join my crafty little journey. You can find all my social media and follow links in my signature below and in the sidebar!
