This is Me 2019 with Simple Stories

Hi Everyone! Hope you're staying warm - I don't know about you but, I've about had it with this up down weather, Spring will be here soon enough. 

I'm here today to share my 2019 about me page that will go in my "Selfies" album. I knew I wanted to use this particular kit, and this heart background paper was screaming at me to put a banner of photos across it.  So I search through my favorite cut files and found this Paige Evans file which was exactly what I was looking for.

This kit has pocket cards with with even smaller little pocket cards, that I cut up and used to back my cut file. The heart card stock was a little busier than I'm usually comfortable, but I wanted to use it so bad, so I eventually end up with an 11.5x11.5 piece of vellum behind my cut file just to soften the background a little and make it more easy on the eyes. 

I felt it needed something else so I hand stitched around the whole piece of vellum with some embroidery floss. While time consuming, I love the look of the thicker floss vs using a sewing machine and thread. 

After I had all my openings backed, I printed some small square photos of some of my favorite things. There's me in my owl hooded blanket 😂😂

I mounted the photos to some colored card stock and used mini cloths-pins to add them to the line.

Another element I knew I wanted to include was this pocket card of things I'm loving right now. It actually had 10 lines, but I trimmed it down, and used my typewriter to create my list. I mounted this onto some gold glitter paper, because glitter....  

PS - Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Avocados & Goat Cheese cut up with a little balsamic glaze O-M-G

To finish I added stickers from the kit to the photos and around my cut file for added interest and some dimension as well. I folded them for a more 3d effect, and used liquid adhesive to make sure they were good and attached.
