Challenge #268-Snow
Make a project featuring snow

This Weeks Sponsor

Pretty Cute Stamps
To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

And, if you submit a project in our challenge that isn't a card, you will get two entries for a chance to win the prize instead of one!

Inspiration

I created a snowy day layout using a super fun cricut cartridge called Winter Woodland. I started by adhering a white 10.5x10.5 piece of glittered card stock to my snowy 12x12 background and sewing around the edges. Next I die cut several snow flakes from coordinating pattern papers and adhered to the page randomly across the background. For my photos I first matted them only white card stock cut 1/8th inch large around the edges and adhered onto the background. To embellish I cut several fun images out from the Cricut, Winter Woodland cartridge, and adhered to the page. I had a little boo boo with the blue snow mans scarf cut out so I glammed it up with a white gel marker instead of the cut out it was suppose to come with.  The background was distracting from the images a bit so I die cut a white doily image to put behind the snow people. To finish, I added some rhinestones and sequins all over the page for some shine.

And for anyone that's curious, that is me in the photos :)

Now head over to the main challenge post to see the rest of the design teams creations and link up your snow project!

An Fringed Ombre Birthday Celebration

So the only thing I ever wanted in the world was a pair of fringe scissors, and I finally got them for Christmas. Well that's an exaggeration, but for real though. So anyway, I needed a masculine birthday card for my cousin so I went all 50 shades of blue. 3 really, but I digress.

So I picked out 3 shades of blue and cut strips to fridge and layer together on the bottom half of the card, to finish I used my favorite Pretty Pink Posh die to give it a birthday present feel, and stamped my sentiment from Waffle Flower! Hope you Like!

Get Well Soon Deer with Avery Elle & Lawn Fawn

Hey Everyone! Sooo I got Peerless Watercolors for Christmas and I'm obsessed!!
I'm not too big on water coloring as you know, but these make it so fun and easy.

I started this card by stamping and heat embossing some white Avery Elle Snowflakes.
Next I wet my entire piece generously and begun applying blue shades in no specific pattern.
I dried once with a heat gun and went back in with additional color, dried again, then went back with the water droplet method Kristina Werner turned me on to. From there, I mounted the panel onto some glittery cardstock, added some vellum, a sentiment, my copic colored Lawn Fawn Deer and of course, sequins.

Hope You Like, TTFN
