Happy Happy Birthday

Last week I got lots of new fun My Favorite Things products, I'm still going
through the stack to use them all!
Today I went for the stitched flags and Happy girl

First, I cut out all my flags from the 2 smallest flags. They were longer then my card, but I wanted a stitched edge so I used a straight edge stitched die from Simon Says Stamp to trim off the ends and keep the stitched effect. I used a color pallete from ColorQ's challenge. Next I diet cut my little girl onto some watercolor paper, and used MISTI to perfectly stamp her only the die cut. She was colored in using distress markers with Wink of Stella for blending. I cut out a matching piece of fun foam to mount her on for solid dimension. My layout was inspired by the current sketch challenge over at the My Favorite Things challenge blog.

I'm also submitting this to the Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes challenge, the Addicted to CAS: Distress Challenge, and the showCAS Your Style: Birthday challenge.

Happy Birthday

I got some super Happy Mail this week from My Favorite Things! I knew I wanted to use every single ink color right away, and these balloons were the perfect medium to test them out!
I just love the little bow stamp that comes with the balloons, I feel I will be using that a ton.

Assemble was overall pretty simple. I stamped all the balloons, strings and bows in the MFT dye inks and let dry before covering the card with my powder tool and using versa mark to stamp my sentiment (the "happy" part of the stamp had to get chopped up a little) and
heat embossed with white Hero Arts embossing powder.

I was feeling the need for some gold, so I rubbed the edges of the cardstock in Versa Mark and
applied some gold embossing powder before mounting the card onto the card base.

I'm submitting this card into the Lawnscaping Birthday Challenge!

Hope you like!

you Make My World bright

This was actually made to be a masculine Valentines card, I just didn't get to posting it until now.
I used my favorite Lawn Fawn border die to cut out some "grass",I inked it up with distress ink and used a wet wink of stella marker to draw some little distress lines for texture.
I inked my background up with a combination of Hero Arts inks, and then used a dotted stencil and some versa mark to give it a little starry feel.
All of the stamping was from the same Hero Arts stamp set and embossed in
 Hero Arts white embossing powder.

It's just like its written in the stars! This is a very fun stamp set from Hero Arts that I've been using a lot lately because its so versatile and the sentiments can go with any occasion.
If you'd like one, you can purchase HERE and use my
discount code KRISTINA15 for 15% off your $25 purchase!!

I'm submitted this card to the showCASe your style sketch challenge and the Hero Arts nature challenege
