We will have prizes (blog candy) on some of the blogs along the way.  You will have until June 2nd @  Midnight. We will announce the winners on each of our blogs on June 7.
Check back to see if you have won.

Today's hop is about Characters! A character can be -- a number, a letter, a persons personality, etc., so I am showcasing what what my interpretation of a what a character is.

You should have arrived here from Christina's blog! If not and you want to start at the beginning go to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Kristina, and I've just joined the FCCB Design Team!
As a long time follower of FCCB myself, I'm very excited to be here. I'm 29 (forever) and live in Michigan where it could snow any day now! Just Kidding. I hope. Scrapbooking was my first true love, which landed me with a card making problem hobby as well. You can find all my follow & social media links over in the right sidebar. Happy to have you here!

Here's what I came up with for today

I started with a plain white 12x12 and added a little background cut from the Cricut Edge to Edge cartridge from some disney themed cardstock I go at Joann Fabrics. I added a 2nd layer of cardstock also from Joanns' before matting and adding my two 4x6 photos.
I used my Get-it-Straight™ Laser Square & Multi-Mat™ to align everything!

I then cut out and assembled Mickey and Minnie from the Mickey & Friends cartridge!
I used a white gel pen to add the dots to Minnie's dress and some wink of stella for shimmer on her shoes and Mickey's vest. Lastly I cut out the Disney title from the Mickey Font cartridge.
It didn't come with a back layer so I used the contour function in design space to remove the word Disney and create a solid background, which I glittered with some Micro Fine glitter.

Here's a close up

  2. Kristina, first of all welcome as a new Design Team Member. Your Disney Layout is fantastic. The bows on your kids heads in the pictures remind me of the bows I made for one of our family vacations to Disney a couple years ago, and on our dress-up day my husband and I dressed up as Mickey and Minnie.

  3. Really like your layout. I feel like I need to search for one of the Get-it-Straight™ Laser Square & Multi-Mat™ that looks amazing. My ocd goes insane when I see something that's not straight. Following you here and facebook.
