Bridal Shower Invitations

I have been knee deep in Wedding for the last 4 months... 3 more to go. But I have finally finished the Bridal Shower invitations for my best friends wedding.

Front and Back

The front was punched out with Martha Stewart Deep Edge Punch (Flower Bed), and Garnished with some Gems of course. For the back, I cut out the dress sillouette from my Formal Occassion cricut cartridge after printing the deets on a 5x7 piece of cardstock. Trimmed it off with a ribbon sash. 

80 of these down, you betcha my hands hurt!

Something Old New Borrowed & Blue

Another page for my best friends wedding album I am working on. I am trying to incorporate stuff from her late mother (who was a crafter) in all the pages. I got a good majority of her mothers stash when she passed.
Last night I saw a project from Ranger using shrink plastic, and remembered I had some in my stash, from her mom.

I used all Unity stamps. Stamping both onto the shrink sheets & transparancy sheets, then fussy cutting with Fiskars Precision Scissors. (The scissors are very important when cutting plastic, a few of my edges on damaged when I used my regular craft scissors) Then decorating the backs using Stickles & perfect pearls.

Photography is difficult for me, My only craft time is at night and I get no natural light.

 

This page is intended for the photos we take in the bridal suite getting ready.
The center title is something I created on photoshop, printed on vellum, 

and cut out with Spellbinders.
Its background I embossed with an inked up sizzix folder.

Wedding Album

I am working on a wedding album as a wedding gift for my best friend. I want to share a page I made for their engagement photos.  I was most pleased with this page as I was able to incorporate some beads/jewels that were in her mothers stash when she passed away.

I used a sketch from Helmar Design Team: January Challenge and color inspiration from Play Date Cafe.

I cut the Large plain & scallop circle from Paper Lace II cartridge on Cricut. The font, also from Paper Lace II was cut out on plain white cardstock that I inked with Worn Lipstick & Spun Sugar distress ink, Sprayed with Tattered Angels, covered in glitter, then topped with glossy accents.

The flowers were cut from the

florals embellished cartridge and

distressed with some Vintage Photo. Topped off with a few brads and the new Candi embellishments.

Here is this weeks sketch over at CPS. Here is my take;

I used Hero Art's "Thanks Flowers" cling stamps on Kraft Cardstock with Distress Ink (Barn Door & Peeled Paint). I made a faux flower pot from a medallion on Cricut Cartridge 'Sophisticated' and cut the banner from 'Storybook'. Sentiment is also stamped in Peeled Paint and is from Fiskars.

A Little Cricut Love

Today I wanted to make a valentine inspired by the CASE Study challenge. The muse this week is Amy Sheffer with this lovely card;





I decided to go with coordinating paper from my old DCVW
Black Currant stack. I stamped the Hero Arts Florish background with Versa Mark & clear embossed. Added a glittery silver ribbon trim, and a simple button with some of my new pink glittery WeR Memories twine. I borrowed my moms Martha Stewart punch for the bottom lace. All together it turned out pretty cool I think. I had seen this new technique (well new to me at least lol )for paper pleating on pintrest, then when this case study came along it was perfect opportunity.

I made a thank you card today using some old stash Bo Bunny paper, my new Hero Arts floral stamp, and my (also new) Ribbons & Rosettes cricut cartridge. I hope you like.
I currently am having mixed opinions of the Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge. I may do a blog post about it later.
